GUIDED TOUR OF THE UNTRUE HISTORY is a site-specific walking performance that reimagines the classic city tour as a theatrical fiction. The audience is guided through streets, squares and architectural details while listening to a narrative about a forgotten, entirely fabricated chapter of the past — delivered with the authority of an official history.

The work blurs truth and invention, inviting audiences to question how stories become “facts,” how cities are shaped by the narratives we choose to preserve, and how easily a collective memory can be manufactured. Small performative disruptions, whispered instructions, and uncanny coincidences unfold along the route, making the city feel both familiar and strangely altered.

Each version is written specifically for the hosting city, intertwining local references with imagined events. No two tours are the same; the performance becomes a temporary monument of invented memory.
